A ‘compact executive car’ is one of the most popular and fetched products in the Indian car market and we have the success story of Mercedes- Benz C-Class to back this assertion of ours. The much-anticipated all new version of C Class is scheduled for global release in 2014. This new car was recently caught being tested in England for cold weather conditions. Fueling the anticipations are the pictures of the new C-Class that would replace the currently available version of this car.

We can say that all the camouflaging done in order to hide the identity of the car did not do the trick to the extent it was expected to do. The new model is high on cuts and curves and retains the A-pillar of the current model just like the upcoming BMW 3-series. The front of the car has been rendered major changes that include the distinctive and elegant headlamps; the taillights of the car have also been remodeled. The only information about the size and dimensions of the new car is that, overall it is longer than the current C Class which supplies the interiors with a bit more space. The current C Class model is 1447 mm tall, 4591 mm long and 1770 mm wide.

The engines doing duty in the current version of the C Class in India are going to be included in the 2014 version with minor tweaks on the motor in order to make it more efficient and powerful. The 2014 Mercedes Benz C Class is expected to be launched with both petrol and diesel engines with displacements of 1796cc and 6208cc in petrol and 2143cc in diesel. A small capacity twin-turbo V8 engine is also expected to make its way into this car. All the engines would be coupled with an automatic gearbox.
