2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Officially Announced

Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed AMG of the new C Class – 2015 C63 AMG and is likley to be revealed at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. Based on the new C Class, the 2015 C 63 AMG features a new 4.0 liter Bi-Turbo motor ditching the current naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8. Speaking of the launch, Mercedes India as of now only offer E63 AMG and CLA 45 AMG in AMG saloon segment, C63 is discontinued. As the expected launch of new C Class is early next year, expect the AMG version of it to land sometime after in the country. (pictures are of new Mercedes C Class)
Speaking about the AMG version of the new C Class, Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, commented, “It goes without saying that the successor to the current C63 AMG will again be powered by an eight-cylinder engine. We owe that to our loyal fans, plain and simple.”
Moers further added,“The AMG V8 Biturbo engine mesmerises not only with maximum power and torque, but also with the absolute best fuel economy in the comparative segment.”
Powering the new C63 AMG will be a 4.0 liter Bi-Turbo motor, similar to Mercedes debuted with the new AMG GT sports car! The power figures on the C63 AMG is likely to be 510hp of maximum power while the torque would be close to 700Nm. The power out of the new C63 AMG is more than the outgoing car's 6.2 liter naturally aspirated V8. Mercedes- AMG also claims that this car would be the most fuel efficient AMG sporting 8.2 liters per 100 kilometers (nearly 12km/l) on the European combined cycle.
