German luxury car manufacturer, BMW, will be officially revealing its updated limousine, the 2016 7-Series on 10th June. Prior to this, the manufacturer accidentally released the online configuration for the same at BMW Austria which is now been removed. The configuration showed everything from exteriors to interiors features that the all-new generation of 7-Series will boast. In India, BMW might launch it near the end of the year or in the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.
Speaking of the Austrian website, the accidental configurator uploaded, enabled some really attentive people to take the snapshots. The shots reveal the plethora of features that the all new 7-Series is bestowed with. Be it the fully digitized Driver information Cluster, the freestanding infotainment screen on the dash, a chiller box between the rear seat, variety of trim colors for upholstery or a newly carved dash that raises the marque's benchmark, all have created interest amongst the enthusiasts.
The exterior too look more composed and tighter, unlike the outgoing car that seemed disproportionate from certain angles. The color palette includes choices from Carbon Black, Sophisto Grey, Imperial Blue, Singapore Grey, Mineral White, Artic Grey Brilliant, Jatoba and Magellan Grey, Black Sapphire, Alpine white and Cashmere Silver (Colors are for Austria, but Indian palette will be getting few of these or even all). A wheel range from 17-20 inches is there to choose from while optional M package containing split panoramic sunroof would add extra flare.
The all new 7-Series will draw its power from 261.4bhp motor that will be used in the 730d trim, most likely it will be available in India. While, in the petrol guise it will get a 321.6 bhp motor with the 740i variant and an even more powerful in the 750i that will produce 444 bhps.
Pricewise, it might cost somewhere around or over 1.2 crores, even for the base variant.
