Mahindra’s best-selling model, the Bolero is due to get an updated BS6 powertrain. The 2020 Bolero has now been spied testing with camouflage to cover the revised front end and emissions testing equipped at the rear.
Mahindra recently discontinued the 2.5-litre diesel engine variant of the Bolero owing to a lack of safety features. Only the Bolero+ variant is currently on sale, which is powered by the 1.5-litre mHawk D70 diesel unit that is tuned to produce 71PS of power and 195Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed manual. It has already been certified BS6-ready by ARAI.
The spied Bolero is due to get a facelift too in the form of front end updates, however, there’s unlikely to be a significant change in its rugged appearance. Mahindra might refresh the dashboard in the new Bolero as well. The 2020 Bolero may make its debut just before or at the Auto Expo.

The Bolero+ is priced between Rs 7.49 lakh and Rs 9.04 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The BS6 updated diesel engine could make it pricier by around Rs 80,000.
