The XUV700 will get a black and cream interior theme with twin display setup housing a large touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument panel. The SUV will further get four drive modes - Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom - which should alter the throttle and steering response.
Further, you can spot the dual-zone climate control, 3D sound by Sony, WiFI connectivity, connected car technology, drive modes, and steering-mounted audio controls. Other features teased include high-beam assist, flush-fitting door handles and an air filter.
Mahindra will be the first to offer ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) in this segment. This could include features such as auto emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection and adaptive cruise control.
The Mahindra XUV700 will come with the Thar’s petrol and diesel engines, but tuned for higher output. In the Thar, the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol unit makes 150PS and up to 320Nm, while the 2.2-litre diesel generates 130PS and 300Nm. Mahindra will offer the SUV with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. A segment-exclusive optional all-wheel drive (AWD) will also be available.
