The Kia Sonet facelift is scheduled to debut in India on December 14, 2023. While we have been shown teasers of the new design and feature updates, many details have started to surface online via leaks. The latest one has revealed the entire front of the new Sonet.
How’s The New Look?
The Kia Sonet was always a premium-looking sub-4m SUV since its debut in 2020, but the facelifted version looks sharper and sportier. Overall, the fascia of the 2024 Sonet has sharper details than before with the tweaked grille, reshaped bumper, and the new headlights that now have elongated fang-like DRLs. The front skid plate also has a sportier shape and the air dam design has hexagonal shapes.
The new Sonet’s rear, revealed in the official Kia teaser, showcased the new connected LED tail lamps, now stacked vertically like on the Kia Seltos facelift. It also gets freshly styled alloy wheels but they still seem to be 16-inch units.
Expected Feature & Interior Updates
Kia has already revealed that the 2024 Sonet will come with a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display as part of its updated features set, while a 360-degree camera is also expected.
Internally, the Sonet facelift will retain the existing model's 10.25-inch touchscreen system while likely incorporating a new climate control panel and seat upholstery. Other offerings will persist, such as ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, cruise control, a sunroof, and auto climate control.
In addition to ADAS, the safety package may include six airbags (now standard), electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, and hill-hold assist.

The 2024 Kia Sonet will stick with the same three engine options as the outgoing model, with one small change. Here are the details:

Expected Launch and Price
The Kia Sonet facelift is due to make its market entry in early 2024 with an expected starting price of Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec variants will likely attract a hefty premium for the added features that will be on offer. With its refreshed looks and added comforts, the 2024 Sonet will be better equipped to continue rivalling the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
