The list includes conveniences and safety elements which have trickled down from a couple of segments over the SUV duo
Tata has been levelling up the technology on its cars, especially on recently updated models such as the Tata Nexon, Tata Nexon EV, and the Harrier and Safari facelifts. Since they arrived first, the new Nexon and Nexon EV came with many first-time Tata features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Now, let’s check out the features that the facelifted Harrier and Safari SUVs have been equipped, which are a first on any Tata car:
7 Airbags
-
Tata is now offering seven airbags on a car for the first time, beginning with the new Harrier and Safari SUVs.
-
While six airbags are provided as standard on the SUV duo, they also get an additional driver-side knee airbag, which is usually seen on luxury models.
-
The Tata Harrier facelift gets seven airbags on the fully loaded Fearless+ variant, while they are available on the Accomplished trim of the Safari.

Powered Tailgate
-
Another comfort and convenience feature that has trickled down from luxury cars to Tata models for the first time is a powered tailgate. The Tata Harrier and Tata Safari facelifts also get gesture control functionality for the powered tailgate.
-
It’s available on the Fearless+ variant of the new Harrier, while the Tata Safari facelift gets it on the Accomplished trim.
Adaptive Cruise Control
-
In early 2023, Tata introduced advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) on the Red Dark edition of the Harrier and Safari. It was then added to the other top-spec variants of the SUVs as well.
-
While the ADAS suite got a lot of driver-assistance tech, it missed out on adaptive cruise control, which has now been included with the facelifted models.
-
Adaptive cruise control adjusts your car’s speed automatically depending on the car in front of you, to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you to stay within the stipulated speed limit.
-
Tata is offering this safety feature on the Adventure+A variant onwards of both the models.

-
The two SUVs get ambient lighting in the doorpads, on the dashboard, and even around the panoramic sunroof.
-
It’s available from the second-to-top Adventure trim of the new Harrier and Safari facelifts.

It essentially helps the front occupants to have different temperatures in their respective zones of the car. Of course, they have separate AC vents for the rear passengers as well.
-
Tata has provided it on the Fearless and Accomplished trims of the Harrier and Safari, respectively.
