After All The Delays, Force India Finally Put Its F1 Car On Pre-Season Test
After finishing sixth in last year constructors' standings, Force India surely looks to change the tally board ratings this year and to help achieve their goal, they have got a new F1 car. The team has revealed its new F1 car few days back and Nico Hulkenberg today tested the car for couple of rounds at pre-season test in Barcelona. The team had to skip the day one of the pre-season test cause of the delay VJM08's build programme.
The car is powered by Mercedes engine which left the garage with Nico Hulkenberg testing its potential. The car will be later delivered to Sergio Perez on Sunday. Up until now, both the drivers were using their 2014 build car for practicing at the Catalan track.
Otmar Szafnauer, Chief operating officer said, "We have seen a tremendous effort from every department over the last few months to get us to this stage and we're looking forward to seeing the car take to the track later this week."
Force India already missed the first pre season test in Jerez and was forced to use last year's car during the second test in northeastern Spain. The team is owned by India's Vijay Mallya and jailed Sahara Group chairman Subrata Roy.
