Now, the tremors are being felt by other car makers such as American automobile giant Ford Motors. According to news sources, the Ford Motor Company will halt production at its plants in Taiwan and China out of the 13 plants in Asia-Pacific region and 8 assembly plants in Australia, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Philippines and China following acute shortage of car parts made in Japan.

In order to compensate the halt, the Ford Motor Company hopefully would undergo maintenance at the sites and the halt is hoped not to be calculated as a loss of time. Reports are also coming in that the Ford Motor Company may also consider alternative sources of supply to carry on with the production in the mean time.
