Anil Kapoor Adds A Mercedes-Maybach S 580 To His Collection

The opulent luxury sedan comes with a 4-litre V8 mild-hybrid petrol engine with an output of 523 PS

Among the rush of new car buyers during the festive season, actor Anil Kapoor recently bought a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class for himself this Diwali. According to the Instagram post announcing his purchase, he has chosen the monotone Emerald Green exterior colour. Here is everything you need to know about the luxury sedan.

Powertrain

Anil Kapoor has bought the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 4MATIC, which comes with a 4-litre V8 mild-hybrid petrol engine. This engine makes 503 PS and 700 Nm, and gets a 20 PS assist from the mild-hybrid system. The S 580 gets a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive, and can do the 0-100 kmph run in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph.

The Maybach S-Class also comes in a S 680 variant, which gets a 6-litre V12 petrol engine that makes 612 PS and 900 Nm.

Features

It comes with a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre console, a rear entertainment package with 11.6-inch displays, a 4D Burmester sound system, active noise cancellation, multi-zone climate control, front and rear seats with massage function and a fridge.

In terms of safety, it offers multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, rear steering wheel for a better turning radius, theft assistance, and ADAS features like adaptive cruise control.

Price & Rivals

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is priced from Rs 2.69 crore to Rs 3.40 crore (ex-showroom), and is a more luxurious alternative to the BMW 7 Series and Audi A8 L.
