Aston Martin Rapide S unveiled in South India, priced at Rs. 4.4 crore

The ultra luxury carmaker, Aston Martin has revealed the Rapide S in South India. The four-door Rapide S will replace the current model sold currently in India. It has been priced at Rs. 4.4 crore (Ex-Showroom Mumbai). The new model is already on sale in the various European nations and in America as well.

Sandeep Gupta, Assistant Sales Manager, Performance Cars, exclusive Mumbai dealers for Aston Martin said, the Rapide S will replace the current Rapide in market worldwide and it has been priced at Rs. 4.4 crore. Its price has been increased due to the fluctuating exchange rate of Pounds and also increased customs duty, which has been rose from 110 per cent to 175 per cent.

The company is targeting around 10-15 customers during its road show in various cities across the nation, he added. Moreover, Aston Martin has also presented the Vantage to the customers of Coimbatore and Tirupur. Since 2011, the British carmaker sold 55 units in India and is aiming to sale at-least 20 cars in Southern India in another year.

The four-door Aston Martin Rapide S is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 engine that churns out a massive power output of 558bhp and 620Nm of top torque. This engine accelerates the car to 100kmph from zero in mere 4.9 seconds.
