Following the refresh of the entire range, Aston Martin has unveiled two new special edition variants of the Vanquish, the Vanquish Carbon Black and Carbon White. The treatment can be ordered on both Vanquish Coupe and Volante. Carbon Black special edition sports superb presence and a 320kmph-plus top speed.
The engine is a 48 valve 6.0 litre V12 which is mid-mounted and produces 568bhp of maximum power. The Carbon gets a ‘Touchtronic III’ 8-speed automatic gearbox with shift-by-wire control and delivers power to the rear wheels. Coupe accelerates from 0-100kmph in 3.6 seconds and hits a top speed of 324kmph. Volante sprints from a standstill to 100kmph in 3.8 seconds and hits a top whack of 317kmph. As an option Aston would offer the One-77 leather steering wheel with black Alcantara inserts for added exclusivity.
Visuals featuring black window surrounds, 10-spoke gloss black alloy wheels are standard for both Carbon Black and Carbon White editions. Interiors continue with an option of accent colours and materials that showcase a combination of standard carbon fibre features and black hardware. The distinguishing features of the Carbon editions from their standard versions are exposed carbon fibre roof panel on the coupe, carbon fibre side strakes, mirror caps and arms. You get a 1000 Watt Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 13-speaker audio system and a 6.5 inch LCD screen. Customers can also choose 10-spoke forged alloy wheels finished in gloss black paint with diamond-turned finish.
Marek Reichman, Design Director, Aston Martin said, “I am sure the Vanquish Carbon special edition models will generate a huge amount of interest, and desire, among existing and prospective Aston Martin customers. The emphasis on predominantly monochrome design, with subtle accent colours, and the relatively extensive use of exposed carbon fibre perfectly showcases the authenticity and purity of Aston Martin design and engineering.”
