Bond’s favourite (to be specific the only brand), Aston Martin has unveiled the new V12 Vantage S Roadster. This new V12 powered Roadster is capable enough to give goose bumps even to our British Secret Agent. Yes, the thrill of open top driving is back! V12 Vantage S Roadster shares most of the styling cues from V12 Vantage S Coupe as it features ventilated hood, carbon fiber components and black or titanium silver accents. While the grille is inspired from CC100 Speedster concept. According to the British manufacturer, the V12 Vantage S Roadster is the most fastest and most capable roadster till date.
The interiors of this car is designed in a way to impress the elite class. The seats and door trims gets an additional carbon fiber package. Under this carbon fiber package, one gets carbon fiber trim, carbon fiber door handles and sporty black alloy speed pedals. To give that unique experience of ownership, Aston Martin also provides an option of Q customizations in which customers can opt for black anodized switchgear with body color carbon fiber bonnet louvers.
Powering this mean machine is the monstrous 6.0-litre V12 engine that musters a power of 565bhp (Yes, that's true!) and peak torque of 620Nm. The engine is mated to Sportshift III 7-speed automated manual transmission which allows this Roadster to zoom pass the 323 kmph (201mph) mark. The Vantage S Roadster is also capable to stop your heart for a few moments as it accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in scary 4.1 seconds. This is certainly the fastest convertible in history of Aston Martin.
At the unveiling event, Aston Martin Director of Design, Marek Reichman said, “The new roadster is truly a treat for the senses with, underlying all this, the capacity to deliver one of the most dynamic, exciting and stirring driving experiences in our current range.”
Now to stop and control this speedster, the automaker has provided all the safety techniques such as adaptive damping system, a two-stage anti-lock braking system and a three-stage dynamic stability control system. But hold your horses, the car will be made available by the end of this year.
