Aston Martin Vantage GTE Comes to India, Courtesy Gulf Speed Bolt
India has slowly but surely been rising up in the world of motorsports and thanks are due in part to the automakers and organisers who have been diligently promoting events and shows to increase the public awareness and the Formula One races that have taken place at the Buddh International Circuit. One such initiative, dubbed the Gulf Speed Bolt by Gulf Oil is also among those responsible for the rise of motorsports in India. The Gulf Speed Bolt is an annual event that has run two courses in Mumbai in the past and this time around, Gulf Oil decided to make the Buddh International Circuit its choice of venue for the event.
Present at the circuit was the very famous Aston Martin Vantage GTE from the Le Mans Endurance Race. Also present was the cars equally famous driver, Stefan Mucke. Some of the event participants were given the opportunity to get inside the Vantage GTE and have Mucke drive them around the circuit for hot laps.
The Aston Mastin Vantage GTE is, at the base level, your good old Aston Martin V8 Vantage, housing the 4.5-litre V8 engine. Added to that however are significant modifications and tweaks to the engine, transmission, chassis, framework, etc. These mods make the already powerful V8 Vantage a god on the racing circuits. The top speed on the Vantage GTE is 300kmph and it hits the 100km mark in just under 3 seconds.
