BMW 1 Series production hits two-million mark just before the new model's launch

BMW 1 Series has hit a production milestone of two-million mark and it cannot have come in a better time, as the new 1-Series is all set to launch on 28th March. The new BMW 1 Series gets an even more striking design, refreshed interior, extremely powerful and more efficient engines other and innovative features. BMW Plant Regensburg was the place the two-millionth BMW 1 Series rolled off, built just a few days after the start of production for the new version. The milestone model, BMW 120i 5-door, painted in Estoril Blue metallic and equipped with an M Sport package, will be delivered to a customer in Japan.
The new edition of the BMW 1 Series will be offered in both 5-door and 3-door body variants. Featuring BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, the engine lineup includes with three and four cylinders from the BMW Group’s latest generation of engines and a six-cylinder in-line engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology, covering a wide range from 109 hp to 326 hp. You can also opt BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive for the BMW M135i, BMW 118d and BMW 120d models.
Other features of the new 1 Series include iDrive operating system (as standard), full-LED headlights (optional), radar-based Active Cruise Control system with Stop & Go function, new-generation Parking Assistant, camera-based Driving Assistant.
