BMW has gone all-wheel drive with the 3-Series. Soon, all its car models will also come with the xDrive. Audi has been boasting about its Quattro since long and even Mercedes-Benz had joined the bandwagon with the introduction of 4MATIC. For better traction, BMW has just introduced the xDrive as a variant on the recently launched 3-Series.
xDrive brings the all-year-round stability and safety of four-wheel-drive to the 3 Series. It will be available initially on the 320i variant and powered by the 184bhp TwinPower Turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. xDrive is already available in the BMW SUVs like the X3, X5 and the X6. Now even the saloon range will get this feature.
