BMW will be bringing the facelifted 6-Series to the Indian shores on May 29, 2015. There are only minor cosmetic tweaks both on inside as well as outside, while the engine and dimensions remain the same.
Speaking of the exteriors, the front bumper and rear bumper are slightly tweaked with the incorporation of chrome enclosures on either side of front fascia. One can also see the LED foglamps hiding in the chrome, new LED headlamps, tighter kidney grille, new alloy wheel design and a choice of 4 new colors.
In the cabin, this bimmer gets dual tone leather upholstery and heads up display as far as the changes are concerned while it retains the same infotainment system and interior design from the previous car. The manufacturer claims that the plastic compound used to make the interior panelling is now more upmarket making the cockpit a notch premium than before.
The underpinning are kept same and it continues to get power from the same 3.0 litre inline 6 cylinder diesel that produces 313 Bhp and a humongous 630 Nm of torque. Mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, it sends power to the rear wheels.
This 6-Series will be pitted against the likes of CLS-Class from Mercedes and Audi’s A7 Sportback. The price will hover around the current price tag of the 6 Series.
