In the upcoming Auto Expo, German carmaker BMW will unveil three new models – the M2, X1 and the 7-series. Along with these, the facelifted 3 series is also likely to be showcased.
BMW M2
Internationally, the M2 was unveiled recently and is the smallest offering from BMW’s M division. In the M lineup, the M2 will be placed below the M3 and M4. Powering the M2 is a revamped version of the 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and it reaches the 100 kmph mark in just 4.5 seconds. We can also expect a six speed manual gearbox on offer in the M2.
BMW X1
The BMW X1 has been facing some serious competition from the Audi Q3 and the Mercedes GLA and it desperately needed a model change. Cosmetically, this new generation has been buffed up which gives it a true SUV like character. On the engine front, we can expect the X1 to be available with BMW’s tried and tested 2.0-litre diesel mill which will mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
BMW 7-series sedan
The Mercedes S class has been a benchmark in the luxury saloon segment from quite some time now. With the next generation 7 series, BMW has strong plans to change that. With tech-loaded interiors, highly improved ride and handling, the 7 series has evolved in every aspect with this update.
BMW 3-series facelift
The 3 series will also get some cosmetic updates which include all-new front and rear bumpers with a wider front air intake dam. LED headlamps will also be optional across select variants along with tweaked tail lamps. We expect the same 2-litre diesel mill to power the facelifted 3 series.
