BYD Atto 3 Electric SUV Test Drives Begin As Units Arrive At Showrooms
The premium compact electric SUV is likely to be priced at Rs 30 lakh
BYD Atto 3, the carmaker’s second offering in India, has reached dealerships across India. Depending on the availability of demo vehicles, select dealerships can provide interested customers with test drives.
Range And Performance:
The BYD Atto 3 is powered by a 60kWh battery pack and an electric motor with 204PS and 310Nm. The front-wheel-drive electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.3 seconds and has an ARAI-claimed range of 521 km. The automobile has an aerodynamic design that allows it to have a wind resistance coefficient of just 0.29Cd.
The car has three charging options: a 7kW AC charger that takes roughly 10 hours to recharge the battery, an 80 kW DC fast charger that accomplishes 0-80 percent in just 50 minutes. Also, there’s an option of a 3kW portable AC charger.

Features On Offer
A 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen system takes centre stage in a cabin filled with interesting design details. The Atto 3 is being offered in a well-loaded variant with features like a 360-degree camera, six-way adjustable powered seats, powered tailgate operation, automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. The BYD electric SUV also receives an NFC card key for convenient vehicle access.

Safety
As a premium offering, it boasts seven airbags, ABS with EBS, hill descent control, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages for safety. The Atto 3 also comes with ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, lane departure and lane keep assist, and automated emergency braking. The BYD EV recently received a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.

Expected Price Rivals
The BYD Atto 3 is expected to be priced at Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom), and it will be a premium alternative to MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.
