At the ongoing CES (Consumer Electronic Show), the German manufacturer Volkswagen has showcased its upcoming next-gen infotainment system MIB II which enhances company's connected drive concept. As exhibited in the event, the Golf R Touch concept featured gesture-control system and we would see some of the most advanced gesture-based vehicle controls and electric cars in the near future, which can drive themselves to find their own charging locations.

The automaker's new infotainment system MIB II supports a wide range of smartphone integration such as Apple's CarPlay, Google's Android Auto or MirrorLink which helps customer to link up their mobile phones. MIB II also offers traffic updates and it can also show you an alternative path, while the parking guide helps you to find the parking spots in cramped spaces.

The manufacturer's top selling brand Golf gets Golf R Touch Concept which supports a 12.8-inch central infotainment screen, 8-inch screen for climate and infotainment control and 12.3-inch display that digitizes the instrument panel.

The car uses 3D camera module fitted above the windshield which detects hand and finger movements from driver and co-passenger, the stuff Tony Stark pulls in his advanced Stark Tower in Iron man flicks.

The automaker also showcased its all-electric e-Gold hatch which demonstrates Trained Parking. The car uses camera mounted at the base of rear-view mirror which scans for parking options and carefully parks your car.
