Chevrolet Enjoy MPV to Launch by March end or April 2013

General Motors India that has recently launched the Sail Sedan in India, is now all set to launch the much awaited Chevrolet Enjoy, which will be the company's first multi purpose vehicle. Speaking to the media the company's Vice President, P Balendran said that the 'Enjoy' MPV will hit the Indian shores by March end or April 2013 and would be priced quite competitive.

Balendran further said that the company hopes to sell about 48,000 units per anum in India, including its hatchback Sail U-VA. "The market continues to remain sluggish. It is expected to improve only when the interest rates comes down. As far as my expectation is concerned, the market is expected to improve only after the budget, so in the second quarter," he said.

If we talk about the looks, they are indeed not exception, but the spaciousness and the engine under the hood make it a worthy choice. At a time when MPV segment is on a roll, we are sure the vehicle is going to provide a much needed space to GM in the utility segment.

The initial success of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga have shown the Indian’s fondness of opting big cars if they are priced competitively, therefore expecting the similar magic from the Enjoy won't be wrong. The Enjoy is found to be more spacious than the Ertiga, and will be powered by a 1.4-litre petrol mill and a the fiat sourced 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine. While the 1.4-litre petrol mill will be able to churn out the maximum power output of 93bhp and 127Nm of torque, while the 1.3-litre will produce 88bhp and 200Nm of torque. The Transmission will be the 5-speed manual for both diesel and petrol variants.
