Chevrolet to launch new cars in 2011

General Motors India, the 5th largest car manufacturers in India is quickly climbing the success ladder. GM had a successful year in India and hopes to continue to do so in the coming years. The company plans to maintain the momentum by raising its market share by expanding the product range which will help them in gaining a meaty chunk in the Indian auto market. Chevrolet with plans to capture the maturing the Indian market by launching the all new Chevrolet Beat in diesel model. The new diesel version will be according to the Indian standards and also the price will be cost effective.

GM launched the Chevrolet Beat in petrol version in compact car segment in the Indian auto market. The small car segment holds the 70 per cent of the total market share. Chevrolet Beat comes in petrol engine in three variants powered with 1.2 litre, 1199 cc, 16 valve DOHC petrol engine which generate maximum power of 80.5 Ps and torque of 108 Nm. The new model comes with various advanced features and stylish looks. The petrol engine is priced between Rs 349,994 to Rs 4,15,485.

Chevrolet is not only stopping here, it is also planning to bring an electric car the new baby will be called the Chevrolet Volt. Chevrolet is no more planning to come with an electric Spark version. The deal fall out because Reva deal was crashed and now the same has been taken over by Mahindra. The electric cars are the new era which is being marked by the auto markers. The reason of the battery operated cars to launch soon is that there is alot of awareness which is being spread. The electric or battery operated cars are a great option to control the emission in the environment. And by launching Chevrolet Volt, Chevy is definitely doing its bit. Chevrolet is also planning a new 800 cc model and the German manufacturer plans to launch the car some time soon. The new car will be pitching against Maruti Alto and Hyundai Santro. The new 800 cc model Chevrolet will be competitive car in the Indian market. The company has Chevrolet spark in the small car segment. Chevrolet is planning to launch the new car which will be priced below Chevrolet Spark to establish in the segment.
