Chinese auto giant JAC to foray into India

The Indian Auto Market is one of the most flourishing and booming automobile market in the whole world. And one more known automobile firm is planning to makes its debut into the Indian Auto Market. This company is an eminent Chinese Automobile firm, known as JAC or Jianghuai Automobile Company. JAC is thinking over to launch its passenger cars as well as commercial vehicles in India soon. As per a spokesperson of JAC, first there are plans to launch commercial vehicle in the country and then gradually move on to manufacture passenger cars in India.

However, there wasn’t any specific launch date mentioned, but hint was given that the firm is open for alliances to sell their products. JAC was established in the year of 1964 and stands tall on the 8th rank in the list of largest automobile companies in China. JAC managed to sell around 460,000 units and generated revenue of $2 billion in the year of 2010. And currently JAC targets to sell 600,000 units this year. JAC has wide-ranging vehicles to be released in China, such as heavy, light and medium duty trucks, sedan, buses and multi-purpose vehicles. JAC is also known for manufacturing auto components, gearboxes, engineering products and engines. It also launched an electric vehicle known as Tong Yue in the Chinese Auto Market. 

 

According to the rumors in the market, JAC and Beiqi Foton are working on the modalities of starting some operations. Both the firms have products that are absolutely perfect for the Indian Auto Market. Even SAIC is in collaboration with General Motors and is working hard to launching some new cars in India by the year of 2013. Rumor has it that 2 brand new commercial vehicles will hit the Indian roads this year by SAIC along with 3 passengers cars are in the pipeline.
