Citroen is offering the C3 Aircross with the choice of 5- and 7-seat configurations in select variants
In the past couple of years, the compact SUV space has grown by a fair margin, thanks to the introduction of the Skoda Kushaq-Volkswagen Taigun, and more recently the Honda Elevate. Now, the Citroen C3 Aircross, with prices ranging from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 12.45 lakh (introductory ex-showroom pan-India), has also become a part of the segment.
The C3 Aircross will be sold in three variants: You, Plus, and Max. Here’s how each looks inside and out:
Citroen C3 Aircross You
Seating Option: 5-seater
Being the base-spec variant, the C3 Aircross You misses out on front fog lamps, roof rails and even the front and rear skid plates. While the You variant does get 17-inch wheels, the alloy units are reserved for the top-spec Max. Citroen has also skipped on offering it with the gloss-black panel connecting the taillights, gloss-black finish for the grille and a shark fin antenna.
It does come with halogen headlights, body coloured front and rear bumpers and outside door handles, a rear spoiler, and gloss-black finish for the ORVMs with turn indicators. The base variant cannot be had with a dual-tone roof option.
Inside, the C3 Aircross You variant has an all-black cabin theme with orange inserts on the dashboard and door armrests. The base-spec variant is seen with two-tone fabric upholstery with contrast orange stitching, black inside door handles, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and all four power windows. It also gets tilt-adjustable steering wheel, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, steering-mounted controls for instrument cluster, and fixed headrests.
Even a basic music system has been omitted from the You variant’s features list. The entry-level variant gets a rear centre headrest (although fixed) but has a lap belt instead of a proper 3-point seatbelt for the rear middle passenger.
Citroen C3 Aircross Plus
Seating Options: 5-seater, 7-seater (Flexi Pro)
The Plus variant, which is the mid-spec trim of the Citroen SUV, adds front and rear skid plates, LED DRLs, roof rails and rear defogger over the base variant. It also gets the gloss-black finish for the grille and the black garnish connecting the taillights. Its side remains unchanged over the base variant. If you opt for the dual-tone Plus variant, it gets a black applique on the C-pillar for a floating-roof effect.
From the Plus variant onward, Citroen is also offering the C3 Aircross with a Vibe pack to add some more visual elements to the SUV. On opting for it, you get body side moulding, painted inserts in the upper and lower portions of the grille, roof rail garnish, front grille garnish, tailgate chrome garnish, front fog lamps and painted ORVM housings.
Inside, the Plus variant gets a black and grey cabin theme with a bronze insert on the dashboard. It is also seen with silver inside door handles, on the steering wheel and AC vents, and around the gear lever. The biggest upgrade, however, is the provision of a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with steering-mounted audio and calling controls and a 4-speaker music system.
It is also the variant from which you can have the C3 Aircross in a 7-seat layout with removable third-row seats. In its 7-seater version, the SUV gains rear roof-mounted AC vents, third-row bottle holder, a boot lamp, and third-row fast charging ports (X2). The second-row seats have 1-touch tumble feature and a reclinable backrest. The 7-seater model gets adjustable headrests for all passengers.

Citroen C3 Aircross Max
Seating Options: 5-seater, 7-seater
The top-spec Max variant of the C3 Aircross looks almost identical to the Plus trim, but has a few differentiating elements over the latter such as front fog lamps, alloy wheels, and a rear washer with wiper. It can also be had in a dual-tone finish, wherein the C-pillar sports a black applique for the floating-roof effect. It also adds the same exterior styling elements as part of the Vibe pack as seen with the Plus variant.
Citroen has given the Max variant’s interior a dual-tone theme as well, while providing it with leatherette upholstery. Other Max-exclusive touches include leatherette finish for the front and rear door armrests, leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear centre armrest with cup holders (5-seater only), a 4-speaker music system with two tweeters and a reversing camera.
