Datsun GO mocks Marutis in its new TVC featuring Babuji and Ayushmann Khurana

Datsun (wholly owned subsidiary of Nissan) has revealed a new TV commercial for the Datsun GO hatchback. In the bold new advertisement Datsun mocks the Altos and the Wagon Rs while the extra bling is added by Babuji – Alok Nath and Ayushmann Khurana. The ad revolves around Ayushmann's GO being compared with Babuji's Altos and Wagon Rs and Babuji goes by the saying - 'Nayi Parampara' in the TVC! GO hatchback was launched earlier this year and currently Datsun is trying to strengthen its footprints in India. It sells around 1000 units of GO monthly.

About the Datsun GO, it is bigger and features a powerful engine compared to most of its rivals in the segment. Adding further, GO sports a wheelbase of 2450mm making it the most spacious hatchback among its competitors and it can even challenge a segment above cars. GO also boast some never heard features in its space, like follow me home headlamps, smart wipers, bench-like front seats, mobile docking audio system. Under the hood is a 1.2 liter 3-cylinder motor that chucks out 67bhp and 104Nm of torque, mated to a five speed manual unit.
Moreover, Datsun has also shifted the launch of GO+ MPV to the first half of next year. Showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo this year, MPV was entitled to go on sale this year but currently company is trying to focus on building 'Datsun' as a brand in the country. Apart from the GO+, Datsun will launch a compact sedan and the production version of the Redi-Go concept that the company world debuted at the Expo.
