Explained: All The Colour Options For The Kia Sonet Facelift

The Sonet facelift will be offered in eight monotone and two dual-tone paint options, while the X-Line variant gets its own matte finish shade

Update (12/01/2024): The Kia Sonet facelift has been launched, with introductory prices starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

• Facelifted Kia Sonet was unveiled recently in India.

• Available in a total of seven variants: HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+, and X-Line.

• Gets just one new colour borrowed from the Seltos; others remain unchanged.

• Has the same petrol and diesel engines as the old Sonet; and the diesel-MT option is back.

• Launch expected in January 2024, with prices likely to start from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).

It’s only recently that the facelifted Kia Sonet was revealed in its full glory in India. Although we await its prices, the carmaker will soon open bookings for the updated SUV from December 20. So if you are planning to put your name down for the new Sonet, check out all the colours it is available in:

• Pewter Olive (new)

• Glacier White Pearl

• Sparkling Silver

• Gravity Grey

• Aurora Black Pearl

• Intense Red

• Imperial Blue

• Clear White

All shades have been carried over from the outgoing model, with the only addition being the Pewter Olive colour that has been borrowed from the new Kia Seltos. The Beige Gold shade that debuted on the Sonet when it launched in 2020 was discontinued a while ago and is not going to be making a return with the facelifted model.

• Glacier White Pearl with Aurora Black Pearl

The range-topping X-Line trim comes in a unique matte finish shade called the ‘Xclusive Matte Graphic.’

Apart from the exterior shades, the cabin also comes in different colour options by way of seat upholstery and other in-cabin highlights.

The X-Line variant has an all-black cabin with Sage Green leatherette seats and inserts. If you pick the GTX+ variant (under the GT Line), it also has an all-black cabin theme but the upholstery is finished in black and white, whereas the cabin features some white inserts as well.

The Tech Line variants (also known as the HT Line) get a total of three cabin themes: an all-black cabin with semi-leatherette seats, black and beige cabin theme and semi-leatherette seats, and an all-black cabin with black and brown seat upholstery with brown inserts.

Powertrain And Features Overview

Kia is offering the Sonet facelift with the same petrol and diesel engines as the outgoing model, with one addition to its transmission choices. In terms of equipment, its headlining features include dual 10.25-inch displays, a 360-degree camera, six airbags (now as standard) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Expected Launch And Price

We expect the facelifted Kia Sonet to go on sale in January 2024. Kia could price the updated sub-4m SUV from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to take on the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger, while also serving as an alternative to the Maruti Fronx crossover.
