Fiat Avventura to be offered in six shades

Surfacing of scoops about a soon-to-be-launched product, isn't an alien concept. Details about the Fiat Avventura getting five varinats (three diesel and two petrol) and its best-in-segment ground clearance of 205 mm is already buzzing high on the web. Now, a latest report from an online publications states that Fiat will be offering Avventura in six colors, including the auto-expo showcased trademark Zafferano Orange shade. While the other choices comes in the form of Bronzo Tan, Minimum Grey, Exotica Red, Hip-Hop Black and Vocal white.

Powering the petrol and diesel models will be a 1.4-litre Fire and a 1.3-litre Multijet engine respectively. Both power trains are carried over from the Punto Evo hatchback without giving any revamp. Thus, the natural-aspirated petrol engine churns out 90bhp while the diesel is good for 88.7bhp that gets delivered to front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. The diesel line-up will be offered in Active, Dynamic and Emotion trim, while petrol engine would not be made available in top-end Emotion trim level. On feature level, fitments like body cladding, 16-inch alloy wheels, usable roof rails, externally mounted spare wheel, remote central locking, power steering, electric compass and tilt gauges will remain standard throughout the entire range.

Fiat dealers have started taking bookings for the Avventura with an initial amount of Rs 21,000. The car is expected to be launched in the first week of October with its price ranging near INR 7 Lakhs (ex.showrrom). Competitors of the Italian pseudo-crossover will be Volkswagen CrossPolo and Toyota Etios Cross.
