The one and only F1 car racing team for India stuns many with its recent update. The Force India Technical Director, Andrew Green has been the source of happiness for many F1 fans in India who delivered the good news, that they are right on track with the developments on their F1 sports car front. But, the success didn’t come quite easily for the domestic car racing team, though the last minute developments seem to take many by surprise of which even Andrew Green is still finding it hard to catch up with.
Their R&D team had been trying to get their sports car chassis a piece ever since December 2011, but after numerous failing efforts, the team has just delivered of what was required to, even leaving the Mercedes-Benz tongue-tied. The luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz with the tried and tested hand whose sports cars race in the F1 races seamlessly, intends to use their 2011 model of F1 car for the extensive testing program, the cars have to undergo before qualifying for the final F1 race.
But we have to get into the story from the beginning to understand why, the ace player like Mercedes-Benz chose an underway in the first place. The probable F1 cars first need to undergo crash tests before entering the testing phase as per the FIA norms. That too, not one but two crucial tests within a gap of two weeks which play a key role to qualify the sports cars for the 2012 F1 race. Unable to keep up with the pace, not only Mercedes-Benz bowed down, but also offered a saving bone to the Force One India team which was supposed to be a life saviour for the latter and also a strategy it was hoping to adopt. But, Andrew Green dismissed the idea right away. So, Force India racing team is rocking living up the expectations.
