All Confirmed And Expected Cars Set To Be Launched In India In Q2 Of 2025

Not only does the list includes facelifts of popular mass-market models, but it also features performance-focused cars and premium EVs
The first quarter of 2025 has been noteworthy not just because of model year launches, but also due to the introduction of EVs and premium models. While the upcoming quarter may not be as packed, it will still bring new models across multiple segments. Let’s take a look at all the upcoming cars that are confirmed or expected to launch in Q2 of 2025.
2025 Tata Altroz
Expected Launch Date: May 2025
Expected Price: Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom)
Tata's premium hatchback, the Altroz, has been in the market for quite some time and is due for an update. Its facelift version has been spotted multiple times, and we expect it to be launched by the end of May 2025. As per the spy shots, the Altroz facelift will feature refreshed styling with updated elements like flush-type door handles, a dual-pod headlamp setup, and redesigned alloy wheels. However, the interior design is yet to be spotted. That said, It is likely to retain its current feature set and powertrain choices, including the 88 PS 1.2-litre petrol and the 90 PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. It is expected to command a slight premium over the current-spec model, which starts from Rs 6.65 lakh (ex-showroom).
2025 Kia Carens
Confirmed Launch Date: May 8, 2025
Expected Price: Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom)
Kia recently confirmed the launch of the 2025 Carens, which is scheduled for May 8, 2025. It will feature major changes to its exterior design including updated LED headlights and taillights, along with redesigned alloy wheels and bumpers. The interior too is expected to be thoroughly revised with an option between a 6-and 7-seater layout like the current-spec model. The updated Carens will be sold alongside the current model, likely with similar petrol and diesel engine options, with prices expected to start from Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG Windsor EV (with bigger battery pack option)
Launch Date: Yet to be confirmed
Expected Price: Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom)
MG will likely introduce a 50 kWh battery pack variant of the Windsor EV by Q2 of 2025. While the powertrain specifications are yet to be disclosed, it is expected to offer a claimed range of around 500 km. With a larger battery pack, the Windsor EV is also expected to deliver better performance compared to the current 38 kWh version, which is paired with a 136 PS / 200 Nm electric motor setup. Apart from this, the feature set, overall design, and interior are expected to be the same.

Tata Harrier EV
Expected Launch Date: June 2025
Expected Price: Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom)
Tata Motors is also expected to launch the Harrier EV by the end of June 2025. In early March, the electric SUV was revealed at Tata's manufacturing plant, showcasing a slightly different design than the ICE-powered model. It is confirmed to feature an all-wheel drive system and will come equipped with a dual electric motor setup and a claimed range of over 500 km. Feature highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and ADAS. Prices for the Harrier EV are expected to start from Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
Volkswagen Golf GTI
Expected Launch Date: May-end 2025
Expected Price: Rs 52 lakh (ex-showroom)
While there is no official word on its launch date, Volkswagen is expected to launch the Golf GTI by the end of May. It will be offered as a completely built-up unit, and unofficial bookings have already commenced across major cities. The international-spec Golf GTI is powered by a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 265 PS and 370 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). Top features include a 12.9-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, wireless phone charging, a heads-up display, and a six-speaker sound system. Prices for the Volkswagen Golf GTI are expected to start from around Rs 52 lakh (ex-showroom).
Skoda Octavia RS
Expected Launch Date: June-end 2025
Expected Price: Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom)
Skoda is expected to launch the Octavia RS in India by the end of June 2025. When launched, it will be offered with a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 265 PS and 370 Nm, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.4 seconds. Compared to the regular model, the Octavia RS also gets styling updates on both the exterior and interior for a sportier appearance. Top features include, a 13-inch touchscreen, dual-zone AC, a 10-inch digital driver’s display, and electrically adjustable front-row seats. Additionally, the Octavia RS features dynamic chassis control with a limited-slip differential that ensures maximum traction and stability through corners. Prices for the Octavia RS are expected to start from Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Cyberster
Expected Launch Date: June-end 2025
Expected Price: Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom)
We expect MG to launch its electric roadster, the Cyberster, by the end of June 2025. Prices for the Cyberster will likely start from around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack paired with a 510 PS/ 725 Nm electric motor setup, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. The Cyberster offers a WLTP-claimed range of 443 km. MG will retail Cyberster via its Select dealerships, and bookings are already underway.
MG M9
Expected Launch Date: June-end 2025
Expected Price: Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom)
MG is also expected to launch the M9 electric MPV in India by June 2025. It will be sold alongside the Cyberster through the brand’s ‘Select’ dealerships. We had recently confirmed that the M9 will be introduced in India as a CKD (completely knocked down) unit, with its pricing expected to be competitive. Globally, the M9 is offered with a 90 kWh battery pack paired with a 244 PS / 350 Nm electric motor setup, delivering a claimed range of 430 km. Top features include 3-zone AC, a 12-speaker sound system, and powered front and rear row seats with ventilation and massage functions. Prices for the MG M9 are expected to range between Rs 60 lakh and Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom).
Lamborghini Temerario
Confirmed Launch Date: April 30, 2025
Expected Price: Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom)
Lamborghini is all set to launch the Temerario in India on April 30, 2025. It will be positioned below the Revuelto and will serve as the successor to the Huracan. The Temerario is powered by a 4-litre turbocharged V8 petrol engine paired with three electric motors that have a combined output of 920 PS and 800 Nm. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 340 kmph. Feature highlights include a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 8.4-inch infotainment system, a 9.1-inch passenger entertainment screen, and 18-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with heating and ventilation. Prices for the Temerario are expected to start from Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom).
