The features and engine options remain unchanged: 1.0-litre EcoBoost and 1.5-litre diesel.

Cosmetic updates expected to be introduced with the India-spec model in 2021.
Ford has launched a new variant of the EcoSport called Active in the United Kingdom. As the name implies, it is better at going off-road than the regular variants of the sub-4m SUV.
The biggest update in the EcoSport Active is the addition of Active badging, off-road centric plastic cladding as wheel arches and side skirts. To add to those cosmetics, it also gets a slight suspension lift that should help it perform a tad better on the bad roads. The interior is a mirror image of the regular EcoSport except for Active badging on the seat backrest.
As mentioned before, the equipment list remains unchanged. So it comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with SYNC3, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto climate control, six airbags, rear parking camera and sensors.
The UK-spec Ford EcoSport is available with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder EcoBoost petrol (125PS/140PS) and a 1.5-litre diesel (100PS) engine. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The EcoSport in question is a right-hand drive model and the changes aren’t any radical. Keeping the previous thought in mind, it is only natural to expect a similar variant in the Indian market, at least with cosmetic updates such as the rugged-looking cladding. But when? That’s a call Ford India is yet to take.
