Ford Ecosport launch on 26th of June

Finally it is coming. Ford has announced the launch of the Ecosport on the 26th of June, as we had mentioned in our previous story that it will be in the last week of June. The Ecosport will be available with three engine options, 1.0-litre Ecoboost, 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine.

Ecosport is a sub 4-metre SUV, and hence despite having are a ground clearance of 200mm it still gets 3% lesser duty on the SUV when compared to competition. The 1.0-litre petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel also get the excise benefit on the diesel. The Ecosport took about one and half years to be launched as Ford spent a good time in increasing the localisation by 80-85%. he Ecosport gets keyless entry, push start and stop, and even reverse parking sensors. The range-topping version gets Bluetooth connectivity for telephone and music streaming.

Ecosport will be coming with 1.5-litre petrol that will be available in manual and automatic. The automatic version will be the six-speed dual clutch transmission and this will be the first compact SUV in its segment to get this technology. The Ecosport also gets SYNC, which is a feature we will see for the first-time in an Indian car.  The pricing of the Ecosport should be between Rs 7-10lakhs.
