The bigger 1.5-litre petrol engine and 6-speed automatic gearbox combo was discontinued in early-2020
-
Ford offered the Figo with a 123PS 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 6-speed automatic gearbox before it was discontinued in January 2020.
-
The automatic gearbox will now be paired with the existing 96PS 1.2-litre petrol engine.
-
It is expected to come with the mid-spec Titanium and top-end Blu variants, demanding around Rs 1 lakh more than its corresponding variants.
-
It will rival the AMT variants of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Maruti Swift.
Ford Figo will get an automatic gearbox, again, later this month. The hatchback’s BS4 version was available with the 1.5-litre petrol-AT combination but was discontinued right before the launch of the BS6-compliant version.
The Figo Petrol will get a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox like the EcoSport. It comes with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, rated at 96PS and 120Nm, currently paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Figo is also available with a 100PS/215Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The hatchback features a height-adjustable driver’s seat, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment (without Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), automatic AC, electrically adjustable ORVMs, push-button start, rain-sensing wipers, and auto headlamps. Safety is covered by up to six airbags, rear parking camera, ABS with EBD, and remote keyless entry.

The hatchback rivals the AMT variants of the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
