Ford Launches the Updated EcoSport at INR 6.79 Lacs

Ford has unveiled the updated EcoSport at INR 6.79 lacs for the base petrol variant (ex-showroom Delhi). This time, the updated compact SUV gets more powerful diesel engine that is being used in the lately launched Ford cars namely; Figo Aspire and Figo. Besides the engines, there are some additions on the inside as well.

Under the hood is the updated 1.5 litre TDCi diesel that produces 100 PS of power and 205 Nm of torque, strangely not 215 Nm like in Aspire. Other than this, there is a 1.0 litre 125 PS EcoBoost and the 112 PS 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine.

More importantly, Ford has brought in a cheaper EcoBoost option under the Trend+ variant making this advanced motor more desireable. Also, the company have introduced a new Trend+ variant that gets a few more addition compared to the Trend one.

On the outside, there is a new color Golden Bronze that we saw in the now phased out Fiesta; and DRLs are now offered as an option unlike before when they were added as an accessory.
