Here are all the details you need to know about the BYD Atto 3 through pictures:
FRONT
The Atto 3 follows a clean yet sophisticated design language. All around the car you can find several interesting elements. Up front, you have these connected LED DRLs, which find their way from below the closed chrome grille. The LED lighting setup here looks sleek and modern.
SIDE
The side profile boasts unique 18-inch alloy wheels, a thin body cladding, slightly sloping roofline, and sharp design lines, which supplement its sporty SUV look. The charging slot is mounted on the driver’s side. The brushed silver door applique and a unique design for the C-Pillar add to its premium feel.
REAR
The hunch-back type rear profile carries the same minimalistic yet modern look, thanks to these connected LED tail lamps. The rear windscreen appears to be a bit small and is slightly overshadowed by a spoiler.
DIMENSIONS
The BYD Atto 3 is sized similarly to the Jeep Compass and is bigger than other electric SUVs like MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona electric.
COLOURS
The Atto 3 is offered in four colour shades - Ski White, Parkour Red, Boulder Grey, and Surf Blue.
INTERIOR DESIGN
The Atto 3’s cabin is full of quirks, interesting and unique to look at. The dual-tone dashboard gets layers and curves with use of soft touch materials which looks upmarket.
The air con vents look funky and dumbbell inspired, and the gear lever seems to be inspired from an aircraft.
The door handles carry a tork wrench-type design and there’s also an interesting way to open the doors. For holding your bottles, the doors have strings, just like on a guitar. The elements make it look like a futuristic concept car.
THE TOUCHSCREEN SYSTEM
One of the standout features of the Atto 3 is the 360-degree rotating 12.8-inch touchscreen system. The infotainment can either be operated manually with hands or using a button mounted on the steering wheel for landscape or portrait modes.
OTHER PREMIUM FEATURES
The system gets connected car technology and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Atto 3 also comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, powered and heated front seats, and wireless phone charging.
HIGH ON SAFETY
On the safety front, it gets seven airbags, ESP, hill start/descent control, electronic parking brake with auto hold function and a 360-degree camera. It has also secured five stars in the Euro NCAP crash tests.
ADAS
Atto 3’s safety highlight is the presence of ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), which features adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, front collision warning, blind spot monitoring, lane departure assist and lane-keep assist.
BATTERY PACK
The Atto 3 uses a 60.48kWH ‘Blade’ battery pack, which claims to deliver a range of 521 kilometres, and a 204PS/310Nm electric motor. You can charge up the EV up to 80% in 50 minutes with an 80kW fast charger. The Atto 3 can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds.
