Honda to get six new diesel models, Isuzu launches SUV

After the launch of the next-generation CR-V, Honda is gearing up to launch six new models in India that will also be available with diesel engines, one of them will compete with the Ertiga, and other will be a compact SUV. As we had predicted the CR-V will be CKD and hence its pricing starts at Rs 19.95lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Isuzu has launched its new SUV and pick-up truck in India. The other major launches for the week included the launch of the BMW X1 facelift, the petrol version of the Q3 and the new Force Gurkha. This has been an action packed week as we even covered the Cartier's Concours d'Elegance.

Honda to introduce six more new products and their derivatives

Honda just launched the new generation of CR-V and the company is now gearing up for the launch of the Brio-based sedan, the Amaze. This will be the first Honda that will be powered by a diesel engine. This is a 1.5-litre i-DTEC Earth Dreams engine that will also power the other upcoming Honda products. The Amaze will land on Indian shores sometime in April, once the budget for the next financial year has been announced.

Isuzu Introduces MU-7 SUV and D-Max Cab in India, bookings open

Japanese SUV and light commercial vehicle manufacturer, Isuzu which has been reportedly working on to set up a manufacturing plant and dealerships in Major Cities of India has now introduced the MU-7 SUV and D-Max pickup truck (single and double cab version) in the country. While the Toyota Fortuner and Pajero Sport competitor, Isuzu MU-7 SUV ispriced at Rs 24.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Hyderabad), the single and double cab versions of D-Max pick up would cost Rs 6.87 lakh and Rs 8.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Hyderabad) respectively. However Isuzu's Delhi and Hyderabad dealerships are under set-up, bookings for both the vehicles have already started.

Force Gurkha SUV Launched Finally at Rs 6.25 Lakh

The Indian automaker Force Motors has finally launched the much awaited Gurkha SUV in India, which is based on the Mercedes Benz G-Wagen's legendary platform, however it has initially come in the BS III version, BS IV compliant version would come later. Launched both in the two wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) versions, the Force Gurkha has come out in a total three variants- 2WD soft top, 4WD soft top and 4WD hard top, priced at Rs 6.25 lakh, Rs 8.35 lakh and Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.

Fuel Prices Hiked Again; Petrol Rs 1.50 per litre, Diesel 45 paise

State-owned oil companies that currently have the pricing freedom has hiked the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 1.50 per litre and 45 paise per litre respectively, that came into effect from yester after midnight. It is the first hike in petrol prices in last three and a half months and the second rise in diesel prices within a month time, which includes local sales tax or VAT, so the fuel would cost even higher to the consumers after the taxes are added.
