Honda’s Record Breaking Monthly Production for Automobiles Worldwide

The Japanese auto giant, Honda Motor Co. Ltd. has openly avowed a summary of its automobile production, its sales in the domestic market of Japan and its exports statistics for the month of March 2012 and also for the FY2011-12 that ended in March. For the first time since FY2010 the worldwide production of Honda cars has seen a decline of 12.4 percent to 3,134,624 units in comparison to last fiscal year. The sales outside Japan also saw a dip of 15 percent to 2,264,169 units and the same story was repeated in the domestic sales of Honda Motors which saw a drop of 4.6 percent to 870,455 units in comparison to fiscal year 2010-11.

In the month of February 2012, the domestic market of Japan witnessed a growth of whooping 244.5 percent at 119,711 units over February 2011. Similarly in Feb 2012, the outside Japan markets saw a growth of 13.3 percent at 280,374 units and the total worldwide market faced a growth of 41.8 percent at 400,085 units in comparison to February last year. The production statistics for the month of March 2012 in comparison to March 2011, outside the domestic market are pretty impressive with North America standing at highest 158,678 units and a growth percent of 40.33, Europe standing at 15,276 units and a growth percent of 18.30.

The Asian market however faced a dip of 15.9 percent at 91,628 units but the other remaining car market sales grew by 18 percent at 14,792 units making a total growth of 13.3 percent at 280,374 units. Moving  on to the sales of in-house car market, the registrations increased by 55.3 percent 67,261 units in the month of February 2012 over last year’s same period. The sales of mini-vehicle increased to 34, 047 units with a growth percent of 128.8 percent and lastly the total sale of Honda Motors in Japan increased by 74.1 percent to 101,308 units in February 2012 against the sales of February 2011.
