Hyudai to launch new Tucson at Rs 18 lakh?

Hyundai India which is synonymous as a small car manufacturer in India is planning big this time with a premium offering in hand. Looks like the Korean car manufacturer will bring the new Hyundai Tucson next month itself to improve its presence in the SUV segment.  Hyundai Tucson which is marketed as Hyundai ix35 globally is placed right under its other premium SUV Hyundai Santa Fe with a 20% lesser price. This will more or less translate to Hyundai Tucson price of Rs 18 lakh in the Indian market.

Well, there is ample competition in this range which is literally dominated by Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner in the premium SUV segment.  But it is the style factor that is likely to leave the Indian consumers spell bounded if Hyundai Tucson will carry the same looks of the ix35 sold in the international markets. The Hyundai ix35 carries the appeal which is nothing but a visual delight to the eyes. Once again we will get to see the Fluidic design through and through playing the magic with its exquisite design lines. The car can be set into motion with the powerful 18” alloy wheels, though the lower ground clearance could be a problem where Indian car market is concerned.

The interiors of the car are cleverly laid out to squeeze out extra space wherever possible. The caramel –black interiors are spine tingling with quite upmarket look and feel. The central console clearly has an LCD screen to carry out the necessary functionalities quite effortlessly by the driver. It is the panoramic sunroof that catches the attention. The front and the rear occupants of the car can either take turns to catch the glimpse of the sky above by sliding the split roof over to one end, or can be opened out completely as an open roof top benefiting all the passengers at the same time. Coming to the engine, the India bound new Hyundai Tucson might carry a 2.0 L diesel engine coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox churn out 134 Bhp in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options.
