Amidst a rising awareness of car safety in India and impending safety protocols, Hyundai has taken a significant step by elevating the safety standards in its Indian lineup by now including six airbags as a standard feature across the lineup. It’s the first mass-market car brand in India to do so.

However, cars like Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Hyundai Aura, and Hyundai Venue were still lacking this standard feature. Let's take a look at how many airbags each Hyundai model was equipped with before the announcement.

Common Safety Features
Apart from the airbags, the Hyundai models also come with ABS with EBD, hill assist, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and ISOFIX child seat mounts, rear parking or a 360-degree camera. The Exter, Venue N Line, and special Adventure editions of the Creta and Alcazar are also equipped with a dual camera dashcam.
The Venue has been recently updated with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), while the models like Hyundai Verna, Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai Ioniq 5 get more ADAS features such as forward-collision warning, blind-spot alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.
