Hyundai has revealed a new sub compact family sedan called Concept RB at this year’s Moscow International Motor Show. The new model looks a lot like the Accent or the Verna. The Hyundai Concept RB adopts the company's 'fluidic' design philosophy and it is Hyundai’s almost-production-ready concept of a sub-compact sedan for the Russian market.
The new Hyundai Concept RB flaunts sharp creases and a coupe-like roofline which shows quite an aggressive nose. The hexagonal grille of Concept RB is similar to the upcoming Audi A7 sportback. The L-shaped fog lamps are also there in this new model and they look like the new Mercedes E-Class’s LED fog lamps. Concept RB will be powered by a 1.6l or 1.4l DOHC in-line four cylinder petrol engine from the Gamma series of engines. The estimated power and torque figures for the Russian-market 1.6l are respectively 124PS and 156 Nm. The 1.4l is rated at 107PS and 135 Nm.
The production of Hyundai Concept RB will begin at the St. Petersburg plant in January next year. It will go on sale by the end of the first quarter of next year. Though there is no official disclosure about the plans for the new sedan for the remaining world but all of us may hope that this is Hyundai’s big launch in the second quarter of next year.
