Hyundai Sonata Transform launched in India

Hyundai Motor India, the largest exporter and the second largest car manufacturer of India today launched Sonata Transform in India, the upgraded version of the internationally acclaimed luxury sedan Sonata. The Sonata Transform includes dynamic style, power packed performance, elegant interiors along with the Hyundai badge of reliability and performance. The new Hyundai Sonata Transform launched in 3 variants including a 2.4 petrol, 2.0 CRDi MT and CRDi AT, the all new Sonata Transform arrives in the range of Rs 13.9 lakh to Rs 15.9 lakh (ex-showroom price).

Commenting on the Sonata Transform launch, H. S. Lheem, MD, Hyundai Motors India Limited, said “It is our endeavor to constantly upgrade our vehicles. The Sonata Transform launch is aimed at further delighting our customers as it successfully integrates all the advanced key attributes of a premium sedan.“

The new Sonata Transform launched with the advanced second generation Theta family of gasoline engine that produces power of 175PS at 6000rpm and a peak torque of 233.38Nm @4000 rpm that results a robust acceleration and a quick throttle response. The 2.4L, 4-cylinder, DOHC engine is assisted with a Variable Intake System (VIS) and VTVT technology that makes Sonata Transform a highly fuel efficient vehicle.

The diesel variant of Sonata Transform launched with a 2.0L, 4-cylinder, Common Rail Diesel engine (CRDi) with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) which produces a peak power of 150PS at 3850rpm and max torque of 314.8Nm at 2000rpm and generates enough performance to delight the enthusiast. The diesel (CRDi) variant of Sonata Transform will be available with both - a 6-speed manual and a 4-speed (H-Matic) automatic transmission.

The all new Sonata Transform includes the high quality standards while adding a host of new features which includes Anti-lock Braking System(ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution(EBD), six Airbags(dual front, side and curtain airbag), Seat Belt pretentioner with load limiter, Alloy wheels, Remote Door Opening, Keyless Ignition and Engine Immobiliser, Separate climate control for driver and passenger, Steering Remote Control for the audio, MP3 player with USB and Auxiliary port and a complete leather pack which includes seats, steering wheel and gear knob.
