Hyundai to launch Hyundai H800 in November 2011

Now-a-days, every car company is trying to come up with solution to grab Maruti’s market share in India. According to relevant sources, Hyundai Motors India limited is planning to create perfect competitor for the Maruti Alto in small car segment. And if things go well, it is expected to touch Indian roads as early as November this year. Currently, Maruti Alto is holding the top position in sub-1L segment and the car has created several milestones in sales figures till date.
As per recent reports, Hyundai India is all set to come up with their sub-1 litre car which is going to compete with the Maruti Alto and other small segment cars. As for now, the smallest car in the Hyundai India fleet is Hyundai Santro. Report says that the new car will be positioned just below the Hyundai Santro and will incorporate a heart of 800 cc under the hood. Furthermore, Hyundai is developing this car with the Code name “Hyundai H800” and this is going to cost much less than the Hyundai Santro price. As per speculations, Hyundai is developing the new small segment car in order to compete with India’s largest automaker, Maruti.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd sales & marketing director Arvind Saxena said that the company is going to launch a compact segment car in global market in November this year. Further he added that the new car has been manufactured in their Korean unit and in India it will be manufactured at Hyundai’s Chennai factory.
In recent additions from Hyundai India, the company recently launched Hyundai Verna Fluidic in Indian car market. The new Hyundai Verna Fluidic is available with a price tag between Rs 6.99-10.74 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). As per reports, Hyundai is launching the small segment car with an idea of sweeping the market as small cars are still the first preference of Indian consumers. Currently, Hyundai India has 322 showrooms across the country and company is planning to increase the figures up to 340 by the year end.
