Hyundai to launch Sonata for better brand image

Hyundai Motor is planning big for its brand image in the Indian auto market and for that reason the company is planning to launch its new generation Hyundai Sonata in the mid of year 2011. The car model in its sixth generation is coded as ‘i45’. With this launch the company will target a better brand image in one of the largest growing auto market on globe.
If looking at the Hyundai ‘i’ series, it has two models in its product portfolio, Hyundai i10 and Hyundai i20. Both the models are performing exceptionally well in the auto market.
On questioned about the plans, Arvind Saxena who is the Director of Hyundai Motor India said that the company keeps planning for the new products for Indian auto market but immediate launch is not made.
The all new Hyundai Sonata i45 is one of the best creations of the company. The car model is given a stand out design and high technology for superior performance. This model is certainly a way ahead of its previous avatar in terms of both performance and looks.
If the car gets a launch in the Indian auto market, it is expected to come powered by 2.4 litre petrol engine capable of smoking out 198 horsepower. The car model is speculated to get a launch soon in India. The car is expected to enter in a completely built unit (CBU) and the price tag will lie somewhere near Rs 19-20 lakh.
the straight competitors of the car will include big names like Maruti Suzuki’s Kizashi, Volkswagen’s Passat, Honda’s Accord, the segment leader Skoda Superb and Nissan Teana. With the launch of new generation Hyundai Sonata the company will be able to take hold of the premium segment effectively. The car will also improve its top end product portfolio.
