Decline in the sales of Maruti India can be accounted due to the 13 days long strike at the Manesar facility which was the key production house for Maruti Swift, Maruti Swift DZire and Maruti SX4, the strike halted the production incurring a loss of 12,600 cars. Planned shutdown at Gurgao and Manesar facility may also account for the loss of sales faced by Maruti India.
