Jaguar has launched a British Design Edition of F-TYPE. Launched in 2012 and widely recognized for its design, the car now has gotten more exclusive with this addition.
“The F-TYPE is a sports car that excites the senses, with a visual drama that is both individual and very British. Creating the British Design Edition gave us the opportunity to subtly enhance the way the F-TYPE looks – inside and out,” said Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, during the launch.
The car incorporates certain additions like the British Edition badges at front and rear. It also gets upgraded braking system along with updated infotainment system, developed with the help of British experts in Meridian. The Sports Design pack comes as standard for the British design edition and consists of gloss black front splitter, body-coloured side sill extensions and rear spoiler.
F-TYPE British Design Edition comes with a 6 cylinder 2,995cc engine, which can produce a maximum power of 380 PS with 460 Nm torque. As a result of this power, the car is capable of reaching a top speed of 275 kmph and can do 0-100 kmph in 5.1 seconds. It gets an 8-speed Quickshift transmission with an all-wheel drive.
The car can be ordered at Jaguar's UK retailers only. The Coupé version is priced at £75,225, while the Convertible can be brought for £80,390. Customer deliveries are expected to begin from March and the automobile will be available in four colours viz. Caldera Red, Glacier White, Ultra Blue and Ultimate Black.
