Jaguar XE is the new sports saloon that will compete with the likes of BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Audi A4. The XE will be an aluminium monocoque body that will be launched with the new-generation Jaguar Land Rover four-cylinder engines.
The company will showcase the car this year, and our sources state it will mostly be the Paris Motor Show. Paris is one of the biggest shows and Jaguar has been unveiling several major products at this motor show even in the past. Last Paris Motor Show, the F-TYPE Convertible was unveiled to the world and we expect the XE to be showcased here.
The new engine plant in Wolverhampton should be ready by this September and we can expect the new XE to be showcased soon. It will be launched in Europe by the next of this year, however deliveries are likely to commence by early 2015.
The XE will help to boost the sales of Jaguar and with this it will enter the entry-level luxury sedan segment. The XE will also be launched with an all-wheel drive version for the North American market and also the Sport Brake version too. A convertible and hybrid could also be a part of the surprise from the company. Jaguar will have X-range cars in its segment after the XE. The XF and XJ, while the XK range will be discontinued by the end of 2014. Then there is also the F-TYPE with the Coupe and the Convertible options too. Next product after this will be the C-X17 that was showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year.
