The Tata Motors owned British brand, Land Rover is said to be contemplating an entry-level model for its SUV line-up. The idea of the entry level Land Rover model is still in the synopsis phase without a green-light on the initiation of production. In the SUV array of Land Rover, this entry level new SUV is expected to be seated below Freelander 2, an SUV that Land Rover assembles and markets in India. The manifestation of the idea of the new entry level SUV from Land Rover might take a bit of time; the chances however, seem very promising. Land Rover is known for the quality of products it extends to the market including the luxury, the off-road power and the stickability. The company would definitely want to leverage their brand name with this new idea.
The entry-level models in the SUV segment supposedly attract a number of young buyers and to meet these demands luxury brands are set on rolling out more and more entry level products. Land Rover’s desire of adding an entry level SUV to its portfolio is a very thought-out one since other luxury car brands like Mercedes Benz, Audi and BMW are already ushering in with their range of offerings in the rising markets of India and China. Mercedes Benz would be starting the production of its GLC crossover next year and Volvo is ready to shine too in the SUV segment with its challenging XC30 crossover. At present Audi Q3 along with BMW X1 is already ruling SUV segment of the car market globally, therefore the current scenario explains well enough this decision of Land Rover to introduce a new entry-level SUV in the auto world.
