Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division & International Operations (AFS), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. commented about the monthly performance, “The auto industry continues to its sluggish demand on the back of factors such as low consumer sentiments and high interest rates”
“The reducing international crude prices and the subsequent lowering of fuel prices should help in revival of demand in the coming months. We also hope that the current excise duty rates will be extended beyond end of December to get much needed recovery for the auto industry. We continue to be optimistic on the back of a good response for our New Generation Scorpio,” he further added.
Adding on the new Scorpio, M&M brought in the next-gen Scorpio in October and following the footprints of its predecessor the updated SUV garnered a good response. The new Scorpio comes with a massive update inside-out, it rides on brand new chassis, adorns a fresh face, updated rear and a brand new interiors. This said, though the body is not altered much but its the interiors that received the much needed lift. Moreover, the Scorpio also receives new additions to its long list of features.
