According to one of the top level executive of the company - Mahindra and Mahindra, there are such plans regarding the buying of either General Motors - Hummer and nor are the plans regarding the buying of Ford Motors - Volvo. According to Vice Chairman of the company they are not interested to hire other problems. Looking towards the criterias like the brand name and the distributions is the first need and the company wants to get a hold over that. According to Mahindra Volvo was a big brand and a great group as company, and also feels that it is too costly and even not so much reliable. And for the Hummer the company feels that they have heard just the critics for the company, in the group of Sport Utility Vehicles. Officials also believe that they are not willing to produce a vehicle which is a fuel consuming type and even not environment friendly. All they want to produce is a vehicle free from the critics regarding the Sports Utility Vehicle.
Vice Chairman of Mahindra and Mahindra said that the customers might see a new technolgy in all the sports version cars that being microhybrid technology which would be available as a default option for the car, all which will be capable of making the car more fuel efficient by nearly 5 to 7 percent. Also there are plans regarding the launch of vehicles in US market with the upgraded SUV versions. Slowdown in the Indian car industry was because of the higher interest rates all which demanded for the spending from its customers. There are serious market demands for the vehicles in India. And Mahindra and Mahindra is coming over the demands by their newly launched Mahindra Minivan in accordance with the Indian partner of the company that being Renault. Its the Renault group with which the comapny is manufacturing its Logan car.
