Mahindra Quanto Compact SUV Launched at Rs 5.82 lakh

So finally the most awaited vehicle of the year, Mahindra Quanto compact SUV has been finally rolled out here in Mumbai at a starting price of Rs 5.82 lakh in the presence of Pawan Goenka, President- Automotive & Farm equipment- Mahindra. It is the first sub-4 meter yet a 7-seater (5 adults + 2 jump seats)Sports Utility vehicle (SUV) of India, which is based on ingenio platform. The company is aiming to fill the much needed gap between SUVs, Sedans and Hatchbacks with their latest offering, which is according to them has More power...More Seats...More space...More Fun...

Earlier known as Xylo Mini or Mini Xylo, the Quanto has come out in a total four variants, C2, C4, C6 and C8 priced at Rs 5.82 lakh, 6.35 lakh, 6.86 lakh and 7.36 lakh respectively (prices are ex-showroom thane). Housing the 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, twin-turbocharged CRDi diesel engine that they called mCR100, mated to a five-speed manual transmission gearbox helps the vehicle to churn out the maximum of 100bhp and 240Nm of torque. The Quanto has been given a twin scroll turbo, which is the smallest twin-turbo diesel in the world that ultimately enhances the overall performance of the car.

What has impressed us the most is the fuel economy of 17.21kmpl, which would certainly give it a competitive advantage. The company has launched the vehicle in six exciting colours, fiery black, mist silver, java brown, rocky beige, toredor red and diamond white. If we look at the front, the Quanto looks identical to its sibling Xylo. It's not just the price and the fuel economy which would help it do well, but the advanced features like ABS, 2 Air bags, reverse park assist, micro-hybrid start-stop technology and last but not the least mahindra's expertise in making the class-leading SUVs make it a worth buy. The top end variants Quanto C6 and C8 are given the features like Drive seat height adjust and Integrated Audio system.
