As of May 2023, Mahindra had an order backlog of over 1 lakh units for the Scorpio duo.

Prices of the Scorpio duo range from Rs 13 lakh to Rs 24.52 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The “Mahindra Scorpio” nameplate has hit another milestone: the carmaker has rolled off 9 lakh units of the SUV. Mahindra introduced the SUV with the "Scorpio" moniker back in 2002, and it has been a popular choice for its high-seating, road presence and all-terrain capabilities. More recently, the carmaker launched the facelifted iteration of the Scorpio called the “Mahindra Scorpio Classic” and a new generation model christened the “Mahindra Scorpio N,” both of which have helped accelerate its tally to the latest milestone.
That said, the Scorpio nameplate’s production milestone is still behind the lifetime sales of the Bolero – one of Mahindra’s best-selling vehicles for over a decade – whose total sales have crossed 14 lakh units already.
Recent Numbers
As per May 2023 data, Mahindra produced close to 8,000 units of the SUV (inclusive of both the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N).
The Scorpio moniker is one of the most sought-after models in Mahindra’s lineup. Out of the carmaker’s total pending orders as of May this year, the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N had more than a lakh bookings awaiting delivery. With plans to ramp up production, the next lakh units for the Scorpio moniker could be produced in barely a year.

Prices And Rivals
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is priced from Rs 13 lakh to Rs 16.81 lakh while the Scorpio N ranges between Rs 13.05 lakh and Rs 24.52 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
While the Scorpio Classic serves as a rugged alternative to monocoque compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Skoda Kushaq, the Scorpio N rivals the Tata Harrier, Safari and Hyundai Alcazar. The newer generation also gets the choice of a four-wheel-drive and serves as an off-road-capable alternative to the Mahindra XUV700.
